A popular beach resort, right behind the Velneshwar Shiva temple is Velneshwar beach. The beach is clean and serene. Tourists enjoy swimming in this beach as the beach is rock free. The sand on this beach is white colored. Tall coconut trees as well as betel nut trees line most parts of the beach. There is a MTDC resort perched on top of a hill overlooking the sea an ideal place for tourists to stay overnight.
Velneshwar is about 16kms by road from Guhagar. It is on the way to Tavsal village from where one can get a ferry boat for crossing Jaigad creek to reach Ganpatipule. Hedvi temple is about 10 minutes away from Velneshwar.
